KRC and Curtin Korean Studies work hand in hand to provide University and high school students from Australia and Korea to learn about each others cultures. The KRC convenes the annual Curtin Korea Day, runs high school engagement activities, and is also involved in running New Colombo Plan student study tours with the funding from the Australian Government.
The KRC has ran NCP study tours since January 2025, with the next tour planned for January-February 2026. Applications for the next study tour close on 22nd September!
This annual event is open to all Curtin university students interested in Korea and Korean Studies. The event provides an opportunity for students to meet with others that share their interest.
The KRC offers scholarships to current Honours and Masters students at Curtin University. The scholarships are awarded to students of good academic standing to support research on a topic focusing on Korea.
These workshops are designed to focus on core skills development among the Honours, postgraduate and early career school community. Over two days, students come together to discuss critical methodologies and common research techniques in the context of their research. Each workshop is led by a core staff member of the Centre and focused around their particular area of expertise.
Held in the KRC office, these sessions introduce PhD and Honours students to key theorists relevant to Korean Studies scholarship.
