The Korea Research & Engagement Centre (KRC) is Western Australia’s leading hub for Korean Studies, dedicated to research-led teaching and developing the next generation of Korea scholars. The Centre fosters collaboration across academia, industry, government, and the community to strengthen Australia-Korea connections through impactful, Korea-focused research and engagement.
Our research explores Korean society, politics, and culture, with a strong focus on Australia-Korea relations — particularly connections between Western Australia and the Republic of Korea
We build connections between Korea, Curtin University, and the Western Australian community through four key engagement pillars.
Our publications include articles, books, and policy reports on Korea-related topics, while our researchers also engage with the media to share their expertise and insights.
On behalf of research leads, Associate Professor Jo Elfving-Hwang and Dr Ana Tankosić, we would like to invite you to participate in a research project entitled: “Development of Korean Language Education in Western Australian Schools”. The project investigates the key barriers and support needs for successful Korean language education in the Western Australian context.
We are looking for recent high school graduates, foreign language teachers, school principals, government officials, and community schools' representatives in Western Australia.
