Our logo

The Korea Research Centre logo was designed by Dasul Kim, who is a Korean designer living in Western Australia. She describes the logo as follows:

The logo of the Korea Research Centre, located in Western Australia, depicts a combination of the Taegeuk pattern that symbolises Korea and the black swan that symbolizes Western Australia.

Symbols of Korea and Western Australia were used in the logo, and the Korean Taegeuk pattern has been merged with the images of the black swan and the bandicoot, both which are native to Western Australia.

The design of the logo was inspired by the shape of the yin and the yang, and the colours were inspired by the Taegeuk pattern.
